Jersey shore affects popculture

A new show has been sweeping the nation, Jersey Shore. People either take this show seriously or watch it for giggles. It had made many influences on people in their lives, all of them negative. This show has defiantly influenced pop culture and society.

Jersey shore supports stereo types. The show is about young Italians living together, partying and drinking every night. They give themselves and all Italians a negative reputation. They also refer to them as “Guido’s” witch is a derogatory term meaning stupid or low class Italian-American.  Why would anyone want to belittle themselves and their heritage and on TV too?

Jersey shore lacks respect and authority. Jersey shore show you can just yell at anybody instead of resolving your problems quietly. The cast either verbally bashes people or each other. The also result to physical violence. The do not respect anyone or rules for that matter. The cast is always getting into fights with each other. They also tend to cause problems in the club. Why would anyone want to live with people that do not respect each other? It’s no wonder that young people of today are confused with models like the cast of jersey shore.

Terrible examples are all around jersey shore. The” stars” of the show party nearly every day and night. They don’t have real jobs. They show that people can just have fun all the time and not worry about the future on consequences. The cast of Jersey Shore are terrible role models.  They show young people that it is ok to drink alcohol every night, party and not deal with real life. These people have no real responsibility and make them terrible models to go by.

Overall Jersey shore has corrupted young Americans. If someone likes killing brain cells this is the show to watch. Both society and pop culture has been influence by the hit show Jersey Shore for the worse.

We read and print digital technology more today than we have in the past. For one,  media is in our face constantly. People use facebook, twitter and other social sites to express ideas. People either just participate or they are active in the digital world. people who are active  are more involved ,up to date and more literate., Facebook makes doing things and socializing easier. It helps with staying in contact with friends and networking. It helps me to make plans with my friends. literacy is different than digital literacy. They both have their own culture, but digital literacy you have to know a whole  different language. There is more slang and abbreviations.

2009/to present - learned karatet and presentation skills also learned Japaneses terms and different cultures
2009- got my very own email address, really understood grammar
2010 -got a facebook,changed my email adress
2011- got my own lap top , started college at OU

The importance of writing in psychology

Writing will help me in my future. I plan going into psychology and  probably becoming a therapists .There is a lot of research done in my field so I will have to write about research and experiments.    I am not completely sure what I want to do in my future, but I know I will have to be able to communicate.  Writing will also help express observations.   Writing will also help me communicate with other people. Improving my writing skill will be beneficial.
